On May 26, 2006, a 6.3 Magnitude earthquake erupted only 25km from  our factory in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.  Above is a photo of some of the ruins.  Close to 6,000 people lost their lives in this deadly earthquake. 

On May 13th, 2007 Mark Suess and I went to within a few miles of the epicenter where one of our employees had a home.  His small village lost 72 people and all but two of the homes were leveled beyond comprehension.
